What you need

Obviously, bike. Bucket, water, bike-safe soap, sponge or cloth, and a brush. Optional: chain cleaner and lubricant.

Preparation

Move the bike somewhere water and dirt can safely hit the ground. Remove anything that should stay dry.

How to do it

Rinse off loose dirt. Scrub the frame, wheels, and gears. Wipe everything clean and dry. Lubricate the chain if needed. Put the tools away before they become permanent decor.
